Magical Fins Accessory Pack

Description:
Magical Fin accessory pack for VRChat avatars and worlds! Includes arm / leg fins, a finned backpack, shark tail ornament, tentacles / antennas, small pendent ornament, and a trident. All accessories are pre-setup with Furality's Aqua shader and VRChat's SDK 3.0 PhysBones. Comes in assorted setups and includes VRChat Standard Lite Quest shaders as an alternative. The accessories go great with Furality Aqua/Luma themed avatars!

  • Import all assets in the following order: VRChat SDK (https://vrchat.com/home), Furality Aqua Shader/Fins (https://furality.org/aqua-assets), your avatar package(s), and the FrostKittyPaw Magical Fins accessories (this package).
  • From the MagicalFins folder, drag and drop the desired prefab into your Avatar's scene. If the pre-fab appears pink in the project folder, it should correct itself in the scene view.
  • The accessories are pre-setup to match the Meownyrn Cat dimensions, but you can drag, rotate, and scale the bones of the Magical Fins Accessories' bones to match other avatars. The arm/leg bands include blendshapes to adjust fit.
  • Right click the Magical Fins accessory asset in the hierarchy and click "unpack prefab completely." Please note that changing the FBX of the asset after this point may break the scene.
  • Drag and drop the accessory asset onto your avatar. Drag and drop the accessory bones onto the corresponding avatar bones.
  • Double check that all PhysBones work correctly. In example, many avatars have PhysBones on their tails. Attaching the Shark Tail ornament to the end of the tail will introduce an additional object to the tail's PhysBone component. You will want to add the tail ornament as an exclusion in this case.
  • You may want to remove some PhysBones components on the fins or your avatar to improve performance and reach a "medium" performance rank. Furality Aqua will be packed (probably larger than Furality Legend's 9K attendees), so performance is important.
  • Want to customize the fins? You can change the emission tint and flow tint to change the fin color. Make sure the "aura" color is consistent across your avatar. We don't know what the "aura" color does yet, but Furality staff have hinted at it doing some sort of secret interaction with the world shader.

• Quest compatibility: To use the accessories on a VRChat quest avatar, change the material to VRChat Standard Lite. Inside the material folder, there is a "Quest" folder with pre-setup Standard Lite materials.

Updates:

• June 4, 2022: Updated Furality Aqua shader from V1.0 to V1.1. Changed stone materials from Opaque to Transparent Alpha Blend with no alpha mask - this fixes a bug in the opaque shader that causes materials with outline to turn solid colors when a camera is pulled out locally.
• May 30, 2022: Added UVMap layout PNGs, improved naming/heirarchy, created video tutorial, added fin only options.
• May 29, 2022: Initial release! Woohoo!
